Discrimination Help
I have a disability and I was told that I could not succeed in the nursing department a well-known institution by several of the faculty. I submitted a complaint to the department of education and have experienced even more discrimination since which appears to be retaliation from my initial complaint. The faculty told me that I was like a "blind person and I could not be a nurse". I was diagnosed with a reading learning disability so I found this comment hurtful and I do not believe it is accurate. One of the faculty made a comment making it known to the rest of the class that I had a disability violating confidentiality. Several of accommodations that I requested were followed up by the school. I complained to the dean about this. Eventually, one faculty told me to stop coming saying that I was a safety threat to patients after being in school for 6 weeks. You do not know me well, but this was was a joke. I am in terrible dept. now, my friends and family are all hurting for me during this time, and I need help. Aside from going to department of education, what else should I do?
