Philadelphia University’s School of Science and Health invites applications for a full-time assistant/associate professor in its Physician Assistant Program. This is a 12-month renewable contract, non-tenure track position.

The responsibilities of this faculty position include course coordination, lecturing, lab and seminar instruction, student recruitment, admissions activities, clinical, committee participation, student advising, quality-assessment activities, and other administrative duties. This faculty member will have additional responsibilities involving clinical coordination. This would include assisting the clinical coordinator with clinical-site development, student assignment, student-site visitation, interfacing with clinical preceptors, student advising, and general supervision of the learning experience at clinical sites.

Candidates must possess or be pursuing a master’s degree and have NCCPA certification. Candidates must also have strong written and oral communication skills, advanced computer skills, the ability to work well in a team environment and be highly organized. Clinical experience in surgery, orthopedics, hospitalist or emergency medicine would be preferred. Prior teaching or lecturing experience is highly desirable.
