Job Description:
The Program Coordinator will be a full-time faculty member who provides leadership to colleagues in program, curriculum, course development and other related matters within a department. This individual assists in the coordination of matters dealing with the smooth operations of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates curriculum development and revisions relating to the program and individual courses
- Identifies materials and equipment needed to support colleagues in teaching classes
- Coordinates the selection process for textbooks and other learning resources
- Coordinates the development of course syllabi and ensures availability to all faculty members
- Facilitates the development of student evaluation process for the program
- Coordinates and assists in class scheduling, faculty assignments, and clinical sites as appropriate
- Maintains the accreditation status for the program, including the submission of annual reports and periodic self-studies assuring that program outcomes are achieved
- Maintains communication with state and national professional associations and credentialing agencies
- Responds to and interprets legislation regarding the discipline and related education
- Assists in student recruitment, advisement and retention
- Interacts with other program coordinators, chairs, cluster directors, etc. as appropriate to share information about discipline, identifies future growth opportunities, reviews current program needs, and provides input on instructional programs
- Assists in grant proposal writing and management
- Assists in the recruitment, screening, orientation and retention of adjunct and full time faculty
- Assists in faculty professional development and training activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Florida license or eligibility as a registered Radiation Therapy Technologist (RT) (T) and Must be currently working towards Master's degree in Radiation Therapy or in a related discipline with an expected graduation date by the Year - 2009
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in a clinical setting
- Leadership experience desired
- Experience working with students preferred
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to manage time and organize multiple tasks
