Graduate School Nursing
Hello,
I want to obtain a Nurse Practioner degree but my undergradutate degree is in Pyschology/Healthcare Management. I only know of one school that has a graduate degree program that does not require an undergrad in nursing. That is Vanderbilt University in Nashiville, TN. I struggled in the Nursing undergraduate Program and felt the faculty in the Nursing program was not an advocate to help me succeed. Is there a suggestion as to any other nursing programs that do not require me to have my undergraduate degree? Are there any other African American women who can mentor me to help me succeed to obtain my Nurse Practioner degree. It can be a student, faculty, or nurse that has been to nursing school. I would like to attend Vanderbilt University, but I do not have the finances to get into school. I am also a single mom of a teenager and just need some guidance to get myself prepared and my teenager. I am 39 years old and determined to fulfill my dream. I want to be a Family Practice Nurse Practioner/Mid Wife.
Sincerely KDT
