Established in 1970, the Rhode Island College Nursing Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Program is a large baccalaureate nursing program in Rhode Island and partners with major health care agencies in the State to provide excellent nursing education. In September 2007 the School of Nursing began offering a Master of Science in Nursing program. The MSN program includes Adult with Acute Care emphasis (CNS and Acute Care NP) and Public Health/Community Leadership.

BSN graduates achieve high NCLEX-RN pass rates. The student population is richly diverse: 26% report being minority, 12% are male and 25% are second degree candidates. Members of the nursing faculty are experienced teachers who are deeply committed to fostering the intellectual and professional development of students. Nursing faculty are engaged in scholarship and serve as leaders in the profession. Alumni, in addition to numbering over 4,000, are excelling in their careers as clinicians, teachers and leaders.

The Rhode Island College School of Nursing invites applications for the following full-time positions:

Nursing –Medical-Surgical. Associate Professor, Tenure Track position

Nursing – Medical Surgical. Assistant Professor, Three-year limited term position.

Nursing – Simulation Coordinator. Assistant Professor, One-Year Temporary position.

Nursing – Maternal Child Health. Assistant Professor, Tenure Track position.

Nursing – Psychiatric/Mental Health. Assistant Professor, Tenure Track position.
