The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean for Research.
With over in 6 million in current extramural funding, the College of Nursing aspires to be a top 20 research institution. The faculty is nationally and internationally recognized for excellence and innovation in research, scholarship, and education. The College offers BSN, DNP, and PhD degrees in nursing and has two active research centers, the Center for Biobehavioral Research on Self-Management of Cardiopulmonary Disease and the Kentucky Center for Smoke-Free Policy. Our dean, Jane Kirschling, is president-elect of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and our Associate Dean for Practice and Community Engagement, Suzanne Prevost, is president-elect of Sigma Theta Tau International.
The University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is in the center of the Bluegrass Region—home to world-famous thoroughbred horse farms and noted for its beautiful, gently rolling countryside. Lexington is the second-largest city with a vibrant, growing downtown dining, arts, and entertainment district.
Qualified candidates will be doctorally prepared in nursing or health-related field, eligible for appointment in a senior rank, have graduate education experience, evidence of leadership in academic or research administration, an outstanding history of grantsmanship and scholarly productivity, and able to articulate a vision for advancing the College’s research endeavors. Qualified non-nurse candidates are invited to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
