JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for clinical instructor in the Associate Degree Nursing Program as well as the Practical Nursing Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as three (3) years of recent nursing practice and two (2) years clinical experience in medical surgical nursing, obstetrics nursing, pediatric nursing, or long term care experience required. Current license to practice as a registered nurse required; South Carolina and Georgia nursing license will be required upon employment. Preferred requirements include: Master’s Degree in Nursing, computer literate and excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently, manage time and organize multiple tasks. Experienced nurses in pediatric and obstetrics nursing are also preferred.
