Pharmacy's Outstanding Teachers Honored
The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), a national
organization that represents and supports all U.S. colleges and
schools of pharmacy and their faculties, recognized the outstanding
accomplishments of 124 pharmacy educators from 71 U.S. colleges
and schools of pharmacy during the AACP Annual Meeting awards banquet
this past July in Minneapolis. Students and faculty at the individual
pharmacy schools selected the honorees.
AACP President Barbara G. Wells and American Journal of Pharmaceutical
Education Editor Joseph T. DiPiro hosted the educators at a luncheon
in their honor. The luncheon was sponsored by Merck and Co., Inc.,
as one of several joint initiatives with AACP in the areas of faculty
development and recognition of excellence and innovation in teaching.
AACP and Diversity: Allied Health Careers congratulate the winners
for their outstanding faculty contributions within their institutions.
