Seeking Letters of Recommendations for NAP Admission/Lena Gould, CRNA, MSN

Hi Future Nurse Anesthesia Student,

Before you apply for a nurse anesthesia program, peruse the respective program's website and read carefully the admission criteria, letters of recommendations required, and most importantly, the deadline date. This means for you to approach the nurse manager, clinical coordinator, or whomever you feel will write a positive and strong letter on your behalf. When they agree to write your letter of recommendation, provide for them a word document about your work experience, leadership qualities, clinical credentials, and your motivation to enroll in a nurse anesthesia program. It is best that you sign the letter of recommendation that you waive (or not) your right for your statement to be confidential or non-confidential. This must be signed before you submit your application.

If the deadline is six weeks from requesting the letter of recommendation. inform the person writing it that you need it by the third week. This will allow your complete application to be submitted well in advance of the deadline date. Provide the word document about yourself, the actual letter of recommendation and a stamped envelope to the person writing on your behalf for admission into a nurse anesthesia program. Further, you need to request they write their name on the back of the envelope with their credentials. Follow up with these individuals on a weekly basis until it is filled out and ready to be mailed for review by the admissions committee.

So, write your fabulous essay, secure your letter of recommendations, GRE results, and transcripts.... and submit EARLY!!!!!!!

Good Luck!
