H1N1 Swine Flu
Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:59pm — shereenPatients report a range of conflicting symptoms. For some it lasts 1-2 days and for another 14 days. Symptoms were similar to regular flu. Same as for regular flu mortality increases in immunocompromised children and adults if other co-morbidities that weakens the immune reponse is present.
One patient I had said,"I feel like I am weighed down by sand in my veins and heavy all over my body and then within one hour of that statement spiked a temperature of 102. This patient was a late teenager and had no chronic health conditions. The fever subsided within 24 hours after one dose of 1000 mg oral Tylenol. The next day the patient was active and well (except for slight residual fatigue from the previous days fever episode). The H1N1 test was negative.
Swine Flu is mysterious and need further investigation into its origin, s/sx and the vaccine reliability (not well tested).

The swine flu was a scary
Tue, 01/25/2011 - 1:45pm — Melbs003The swine flu was a scary sickness when it first hit the states. There was a lot of fear surrounding the stories of death, causing everyone to panic about the seriousness of the Swine flu. I got Swine flu, with a fever of 102, sweating terribly, fatigued, and aching. The doctors told me to just take some advil and wait it out. I did, and within a week I was feeling better. I have had symptoms like this when I had strep or other sicknesses. Seems that it may just be another strain of the flu!
